At IBC 2019 Laowa was showing a 1.33x rear anamorphic adapter for their yet to ship 25-100 OOOM zoom lens and their new 12mm T3.1 wide angle lens.
The OOOM lens will be priced at $6,500 USD in EF or PL mounts.
Rear Anamorphic Adapter
The rear anamorphic adapter is user swappable. Laowa is looking into making different coatings for the adapter so users can get a more unique look.
Theoretically, it should work with most S35 prime and zoom lenses. The anamorphic adapter will mean that you will lose around 1/2 stop of light.
S35 to Full Frame 1.4x Expander
Laowa was also showing an S35 to full frame expander so you can use S35 glass on full frame sensor cameras.
When using the Expander your focal length will increase by a factor of 1.4x, and you will lose 1 stop of light.
The 1.4x Expander will be available in PL or EF mount.
12mm T3.1
Laowa was also showing their upcoming full frame 12mm T3.1 ultra wide angle zoom.
The lens looks to be a very cost-effective ultra wide angle solution if you re using full frame sensor cameras.
