Panasonic has just announced the Lumix S 1.4x and 2x teleconverter for use with their full frame mirrorless cameras.
The DMW-STC14 1.4x and DMW-STC20 2x teleconverters are a welcome addition to the S mount. With a growing number of native L mount lenses being brought to market, these teleconverters are bound to find themselves ending up in many Panasonic S1/S1R, and S1H shooters kits.
The 1.4x and 2x teleconverters can be attached to the LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F4 O.I.S, and the yet to be released LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F 2.8 and 24-70mm F 2.8 (both lenses are scheduled for release in Winter 2019.
Both teleconverters feature a rugged dust/splash-resistant design and Panasonic claims that they will still provide excellent autofocus performance.
DMW-STC14 1.4x
- Lens configuration: 7 in 4 groups (including 2 UHR lenses)
- 1 stop of light loss
- Dustproof, drip-proof, -10 degrees low-temperature resistance
- Works with: LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F4 O.I.S, 70-200mm F 2.8 (scheduled release in Winter 2019), 24-70mm F 2.8 (scheduled release in Winter 2019)

The DMW-STC14 1.4x and DMW-STC20 2x teleconverters are scheduled to be available in June 2019, recommended retail prices are $489.99 USD for the 1.4x teleconverter (DMW-STC14) and $579.99 USD for the 2.0x teleconverter (DMW-STC20).
