Hive Lighting launched the Wasp 100-C last year at NAB. This year they have two new Omni-Color LED fixtures to show. The Bee 50-C and the Hornet 200-C.
These new additions effectively create a line of C- Series lights with the original Wasp 100-C in the middle. Now you have three choices of output and size to get that just right fixture. Check out our Wasp-100 review here.
Both the Bee 50-C and the Hornet 200-C have the “Perfect SHOT” colour controls offered on the Wasp 100-C. These controls give the user the ability to adjust the Saturation, Hue, Output, and colour temperature of the lights, allowing for infinite colour combinations and lighting customization.
The Bee 50-C and the Hornet 200-C also have the same form factor of the Wasp 100-C, including an adjustable yoke design and a 100mm body diameter.
On the Bee 50-C, the 22 Degree Spot Parabolic Reflector can be modified with a 5” 3-Lens Set (Medium, Wide, Super Wide). The barn door ears accept all 127mm (5 inch) accessories including speed rings, barn doors, and lenses. When the 22 Degree Spot Parabolic Reflector is removed, the Bee 50-C is a 180-degree flood light
This diameter allows these lights to be combined with hundreds of existing photo accessories from various manufacturers including ProFoto, Chimera, Elinchrome, and Westcott to name just a few.
