Wooden Camera has been working on UFF-1 Universal Follow Focus for some time. Since they are in the Vitec group along with OConnor they used some of the designs that already exists to keep the cost down. The original version of the OConnor follow focus was $4000. Wooden Camera was able to get the price to under $2000 for the Pro kit.
One Follow Focus For all systems
The new Wooden Camera UFF-1 Universal Follow Focus is the first to be able to go from light weight 15mm, 15mm studio and 19mm rods without using adapters and is fully tool-less. This design gives the user a lot of flexibility. Unlock the clamps and slide to the appropriate rod position. Notches in the bottom of the bridge indicate when the clamp is in the correct position. Fast and easy
The included swing arm and lens gears can be flipped to the front or back position which is helpful for compact lens configuration and the bridge has the lowest height in the industry so it will work with the larger zoom lens barrels.
Marking Plates and Hard Stops
Each of the two hand wheels is compatible with the standard marking disc and hard stop disc which provides positionable limits when using DSLR lenses with infinite barrel rotation. In total, 10 marking discs and 2 hard stop discs are included. The hand wheels are removable and have standard accessory ports for the included focus whip and crank. The crank’s unique design has the same accessory port on the backside which allows the whip to be plugged in when needed.
The hand wheel extension allows users to offset either wheel by 75mm (3 inches) which is great when using a large diameter lens or when in 15mm studio mode.

The UFF-1 Universal Follow Focus base and pro kits are available for Pre-order. Base kit retails for $1250 and pro kit for $1995. Estimated to start shipping mid June.
