I have shot a lot of short stories for news organisations, NGOs and this website. Since shooting the first ever DSLR news video – back when the Nikon D90 was announced – I have been evolving my storytelling and shooting technique.
These films are normally done on a limited budget and often in just one day. If you are in Singapore this week I’ll be giving a free seminar explaining how I do it at Cathay Photo’s Peninsula Plaza store this Wednesday night.
I’ll explain my thought process and what kit I use. I’ll go through my shooting method and some of the rules I stick to – and how I solve common problems.
This will be an intermediate level session with some level of basic video knowledge assumed. I’m looking forward to taking questions so you can find out what you most want to know.
If you want to attend simply fill in the online form on the Cathay Photo website.
