Sony have been teasing what turned out to be the FS5 S35 sensor camcorder on their Facebook page earlier in the month, but at their press conference this morning they also had a surprise in store.
They have announced the A7s II, the successor to the wildly popular compact system camera that has developed a reputation for its excellent low light ability and being able to match footage as a B-camera for more expensive Sony siblings like the FS7.
Headline specs for the A7s II are an ISO range that extends to an eye-watering 409,600 rating, in-body image stabilisation and in-camera 4K recording.
The details we have at the moment are in the image below – do check back with Newsshooter.com later for more information as we have it – if it’s anything like as successful as the original A7s this could be another real winner for Sony.
