NANLITE has announced its new PavoTube II 6XR, a professional 8-pixel full-color tubelight with CRMX control. The new NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR is being touted as a go-anywhere full-color LED tube light with pixel effects and professional wireless control.

At just 25cm long, it has 8 individually controllable pixels, and it also delivers high output and high accuracy. It has an internal battery as well as PD 3.0 power input. It can be controlled via Bluetooth, DMX/RDM, and LumenRadio CRMX.
The PavoTube II 6XR incorporates NANLITE’s RGBWW color mixing technology, providing a color temperature range of 2700K to 12000K and ±150 green/magenta adjustment.
It is claimed to deliver an output of 562 lux @0.5m (5600K).
The PavoTube II 6XR features a diffuser that is claimed to render the light softer and more uniform, so that it can wrap around the subject.
Enhanced white light correction is achieved through Nanlite’s RGBWW color mixing technology. This technology utilizes the RGB chips in the PavoTube II 6XR to generate accurate representations of different white light sources.
The PavoTube II 6XR is equipped with five lighting modes, including CCT, HSI, gel, lighting effects, and pixel effects. The 10 built-in pixel effects allow for multi-pixel sync control, making it easy to create dynamically flowing light effects.
The PavoTube II 6XR is a standard T12 tube size and weighs 270g.
The back of the fixture has a polygonal design for stability, allowing it to be placed on flat surfaces without the need for additional support. Built-in magnets at both ends enable direct attachment to magnetic surfaces. Alternatively, the included iron plates can be used for attachment to other surfaces.
The PavoTube II 6XR has a built-in 3200mAh rechargeable battery. The USB-C port on the fixture supports a wide range of input voltages and currents and is compatible with the PD 3.0 protocol.
Additionally, it can be used with the optional F550 battery grip, allowing it to be powered from a single NP-F550 type battery.
The internal battery can also prevent disruptions caused by sudden loss of AC or external power. The PavoTube II 6XR can also be charged in the optional 8-light kit case, automatically connecting to power via electronic contacts on the fixture the moment each tube is placed in the case.
The PavoTube II 6XR is compatible with the existing accessory ecosystem of the PavoTube II 6C, allowing users to continue using accessories they may already own. This convenient compatibility means users don’t need to prepare different accessories if using both fixtures together. The PavoTube II 6XR’s complete accessory ecosystem includes over 20 accessories across 7 categories (clip/holder, mounting, modifier, waterproofing, cable, power supply, storage).
8-Light Kit
NANLITE has introduced an 8-light kit exclusively for the PavoTube II 6XR, designed for professional production needs. It includes eight fixtures, modifiers, mounting accessories, and a custom charging case (based on the Gutek T-230). With an IP67 rating, impact resistance, shockproof design, and V-2 flame retardancy, the case provides reliable protection during transport. Both fixtures and accessories have dedicated slots, ensuring organized storage.
The case supports simultaneous charging of all eight fixtures and offers three power supply options: AC power, V- mount battery, and PD adapter. This portable solution simplifies multi-fixture setups, offering efficient storage, charging, and protection on set.
With the introduction of the PavoTube II 6XR, the PavoTube II XR series now comprises four sizes. Together, they cater to differing spaces and applications, offering precise, portable, cable-free lighting solutions. The longer tube lights are ideal for simulating elongated light sources and providing broad coverage, while the shorter tubes are ideally suited for tight spaces and detailed lighting. By combining long and short PavoTube fixtures, users can easily create dynamic lighting.
