Godox has unveiled its new M1000R KNOWLED Full-color LED light. This is relatively compact and lightweight fixture given its power draw and capabilities.

This 1000W fixture produces a claimed output of 20,400-lux at 3m / 9.9′ with its 30 degree reflector at 5600K and can produce color temperatures from 1800-10,000K. As a comparison, the Aputure STORM 1000c has a claimed output of 14,200 Lux at 9.8′ / 3 m (with its 45 degree Reflector).
Not only is it Bowens mount compatible, but the M1000R incorporates the Godox Optical System to align mounts and accessories for best light efficiency. Godox also offers a wide array of lighting modifiers.
It has a claimed CRI of 95 and a TLCI rating of 94. Users can adjust the light via onboard controls, DMX, Art-Net, or Bluetooth.
You can control the M1000R remotely from up to 196′ away or connect the fixture to the Godox KNOWLED app for mobile control.
The light has an AC Power Input, 1x XLR 5-Pin DMX Input, 1x XLR 5-Pin DMX Output, 1x RJ45 Network Input, and 1x USB-A Power/Firmware Input/Output (5 VDC at 1.5 A).
It also features 14 special lighting effects, 0 to 100% dimming capabilities, and a Bowens accessory mount.
It offers 91% Rec2020 color gamut coverage, and it features CCT, HSI, RGBW, GEL, X-Y, and FX modes, along with four dimming curves. There is also +/- G/M adjustment.
The Godox M1000R KNOWLED Full-color LED light head weighs 17.9 lb / 8.1 kg, and the separate controller/power supply weighs 12.3 lb / 5.6 kg. As a comparison, the Aputure STORM 1000c fixture with yoke weighs 21.3 lb / 9.66 kg, and the power supply/controller weighs 13.49 lb / 6.12 kg.
The M1000R is built with an IP54-rated waterproof and dustproof design, ensuring both the control unit and light body remain protected for reliable performance in harsh environments and weather.
The M1000R kit includes a reflector, power controller, power cable, and U-type bracket for a simple studio lighting setup. You can also transport the light and accessories with the kit’s carrying case.
