Godox has announced its new Cube-C Wireless Microphone, a camera-optimized version of its Cube series. According to Godox, the Cube-C features a unique design, advanced features, and versatile compatibility.
The Cube-S, which was released back in August, featured a square-round shape microphone design, and the Cube-C features that same shape.
With the recent release of products like the DJI Mic Mini, Godox believes that the Cube-C offers a competitive alternative.
The Cube-C and Cube Combo work on the 2.4GHz spectrum and Godox claims that they can be used across cameras, desktops, and mobile devices. This compact system offers 24-bit audio quality, safety track backup, 40-hour battery life, and up to 300m of stable transmission.
The transmitters weigh only 7g.
The Cube-C transmitter offers a range of wearing options, including a magnetic attachment, a back clip, and a necklace style. Users can also personalize their Cube-C transmitter through the use of stickers.
The Cube-C has a 48kHz/24bit sampling rate, >70dB SNR, and a Max. 115dB SPL.
In addition to a Mono/Stereo mode, the Cube-C also has a Safety Track mode, delivering a -6dB audio backup alongside the original track.
The Cube-C features noise reduction modes, to effectively minimize unwanted ambient sounds.
Each TX and RX has up to 10 hours of operation on a single charge. With 3 additional charges available from the 2300mAh charging case.
The transmitter doubles as a remote controller allowing you to activate your phone’s camera shutter from up to 50m away. The Cube-C receiver has mode switching, volume adjustment, and noise reduction. UAC support allows you to use it with your computer.
In-app control is now available for all Cube series products on mobile devices. When paired with the Godox Mic app, users can adjust various settings.
Along with the Cube-C, you can also get the Cube Combo which includes two transmitters and two receivers. One receiver is designed to connect to a camera, while the other connects to a smartphone. The Cube Combo also includes adapter cables, allowing users to connect to different devices.
