amaran has announced the Ace 25x and 25c along with the Ace Lock Ecosystem. These are small-sized Bi-color and full-color compact LED lights that are claimed to be the brightest in their class.
Along with these two new fixtures, amaran is also debuting the Ace locking system which is a quick-release mount ecosystem that is claimed to be efficient, secure, and fast.

The fixtures feature up to 32W of light output in Boost Mode, which is claimed to be double that of other comparable pocket-sized on-camera lights. The amaran Ace 25x and 25c’s are claimed to output up to 6,320 lux and 4,440 lux of soft, natural light at 0.5m / 1.64′ at 5600K, respectively.
Battery Life & Power
The lights feature a runtime of up to 4 hours 40 minutes in Silent Mode and 70 minutes in Standard Mode. amaran claims that the fixtures feature a fast recharge time of 40 minutes from 0-90%.
For emergency power situations, the amaran Ace 25x and 25c can be transformed into a portable power solution to power other compact lights, cameras, or even a phone via the USB-C PD charging port.
Customizable Multi-Action Shortcuts
Both lights have a simplified, colored menu screen and the ability to create custom shortcuts. This allows you to recall frequently used settings such as CCT, FX, or Boost Mode with a double-click or long-press.
Quick Magnetic Mounting Design
With the amaran Ace’s magnetic front accessory mount, you can add lighting modifiers such as the Dome Diffuser or Light Control Grid. Its integrated back silicone pad allows the amaran Ace to be attached to any magnetic surface for easy mounting.
Creator Travel Kit
The amaran Ace 25x and 25c also come available in a travel-ready kit, including all the necessary tools for mobile content creation. There is a Light Control Grid and Mini Tripod, that comes in a protective Carrying Case.
Ace Lock Ecosystem
The amaran Ace 25x and 25c are the brand’s first products to feature the Ace Lock, an entirely new quick-release mount ecosystem. It is claimed to keep the light stable while allowing for fast mounting adjustments. According to amaran, attaching to a camera takes less than one second with the included amaran Ace Lock to Cold Shoe Adapter. Whether used on-camera or a tripod, the amaran Ace can be snapped on quickly.
