At the NAB show Shape were showing a brand new cage for the popular Atomos Shogun 4K external recorder. It wraps around the Shogun and offers not only protection, but also multiple mounting points and the ability to attach handles or mount to rails.
The cage can be mounted to the rails of a shoulder rig. There is an option for Shape’s clever push-button technology, which was first seen on their handles. This allows quick adjustments to the angle of the recorder’s display and also swivels it around.
The HDMI connection benefits from a cable clamp to prevent it being accidentally knocked out of place.
It is available now from the Shape website for $339 to $799 depending on the configuration.
