A new version of the KONDOR Blue 4×5 Matte Box System will be shipping in November with 10 improved design elements. I will just mention a few of the new highlights.
KONDOR Blue has made every adjustable fastener captive and the hood design now features several new additions including increased strength and rigidity. It also has a four post-release system which allows you to loosen the two knobs inside the hood. You can then attach any of the KONDOR Blue accessories such as the single or dual stages or even directly attach the 95 mm or 114 mm lens clamp that allows for fast and secure changes to your matte box. It also opens up other options for additional third-party customization to use ARRI and Bright Tangerine backs.
The Independent AKS Bar allows you to remove the top flag and then mount an accessory such as the DJI Lidar unit.
The Filter Tray mechanism is now much easier to pull out and it also features an internal dovetail to keep the release alignment working smoothly. The angles of the filter tray safety tabs have also been adjusted to automatically catch when dropping filter trays into the stages.
The filter tags have been redesigned making them harder to accidentally pop out.
The KONDOR Blue MBS holds up to 4 4×5.65” (2-4mm thick) filters. From the Ulitmate to the Base Kit and any combo in between.
