‘Flying’ cameras with gimbals has never been more popular and Letus make one of the best options out there in the Helix. Now they are introducing a smaller version, the Helix Jnr, which is designed for smaller cameras like DSLRs and the Panasonic GH4.

Advertised as handling a 7lb camera (just over 3kg), the real limitation is on the length of what you’re mounting on the Helix Jnr and it’s possible to use it to fly up to 12lbs of camera and accessories (biceps allowing).
Because the camera is supported from below rather than suspended from above it’s possible to simply rest the gimbal and camera on the floor without a cradle. Eye-level shooting is also less tiring than with other gimbals as you don’t have to lift it above your head.
The Helix Jnr is available now for $2900.
