This acquisition will make Lensrentals a larger resource for creatives and production teams that need to rent photo and video equipment in the United States.

If you are not familiar with BorrowLenses, it is also an online marketplace for photographic and video equipment rentals. BorrowLenses has provided photo and video gear for rental, along with convenient pick-up and shipping options, and it has had more than one million orders over the last sixteen years. With operations in San Carlos, CA, BorrowLenses provided photographers and videographers with a similar range of equipment for rental as Lensrentals. BorrowLenses offered local pickup in California, like Lensrentals and LensProToGo in Tennessee and Massachusetts respectively, as well as nationwide shipping options.

Here is what BorrowLenses posted on their website:

All existing or upcoming rentals will continue without interruption

  • BorrowLenses will continue to ship rentals for the next few days. Orders shipping next week will be fulfilled directly by Lensrentals.
  • If you have a current order in your hands or headed to you, look for a new UPS return label coming real soon from Lensrentals. Don’t have a printer? They will include a QR code you can show right at the store too!
  • Until March 10th, you can extend your rental directly. After that, reach out to Lensrentals.com who will be happy to help.
  • If you have an overdue rental or outstanding balance on your account, please contact us to bring your account up to date.
  • To place a new rental, head over to Lensrentals.com.

In the coming days, Lensrentals will have your past order information to enable extensions, adjustments, and new orders all in one place.  Look for an email from Lensrentals with more details soon!

On behalf of our entire team here, thank you for your support and business.
