The PGYTECH CreateMate CFexpress Type A, Type B, & SD Card Reader/Case Combos loo to be interesting products. They were designed to be combination card holders and card readers.
There are two versions available:
Both versions have claimed data transfer speeds of up to 1000 MB/s. They are also IP54 rated for protection against drops, dirt, and splashes. They utilize a silicone construction and a built-in sealing ring.
They connect to your computer through the integrated 10 Gb/s USB-C cable and feature an external auxiliary power port that supports up to 5V/2A.
It is important to note that the card slots in both versions may not be used simultaneously.
There is also an included UHS-II microSD to SD adapter which is nice to see.
CreateMate CFexpress Type A/SD Card Reader Case
The CreateMate CFexpress Type A/SD Card Reader Case, as its name implies, features a CFexpress Type A card slot and one UHS-II SD card slot that supports UHS-II and UHS-I SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. It can store three CFexpress Type A cards, three SD cards, four microSD cards, two nano SIM cards.
I am in two minds at to whether or not it is a good idea to keep your camera media with a card reader. On one hand it is convenient, but on the other if you loose the card reader you also lose your media.
There is also an eject pin tool for locking and unlocking the compartment that stores your cards.
CreateMate CFexpress Type B/SD Card Reader Case
The CreateMate CFexpress Type B/SD Card Reader Case features a CFexpress Type A card slot and one UHS-II SD card slot that supports UHS-II and UHS-I SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. It can store two CFexpress Type B cards, three SD cards, four microSD cards, two nano SIM cards.
Please note that the card slots in both versions may not be used simultaneously. Also, thanks to an included UHS-II microSD to SD adapter, you’ll be able to use microSD cards in the CreateMate’s full-sized SD card slots.
