Saramonic has announced its new Blink500 B2+ wireless microphone system that is being aimed squarely at content creators.
The Blink500 B2+ is an upgraded version of the Blink500 B2.
It is equipped with USB-C, Lightning, 3.5mm TRS and 3.5mm TRRS connectors so it can be used with a wide array of cameras, audio recording devices, computers, and smartphones.
The Blink500 B2+ looks like a decent, budget friendly solution, but it will face stiff competition from other competing products on the market from companies such as RODE, Hollyland, and DJI, etc.
Dual-Device Connectivity
The Blink500 B2+ allows for dual device connectivity with 1 receiver at the same time. Essentially, this allows users to connect and record audio on two devices simultaneously. This makes it a good solution for live streamers, content creators, and broadcasters.
Long Battery Life
The Blink500 B2+ features significantly improved battery life. The system is claimed to be able to record continuously for up to 20 hours, and the charging case provides one full cycles of recharge, extending the usage time to 40 hours.
Audio Features
The Blink500 B2+ comes with a 2-level noise reduction function and low-cut filter. You can select from Mono, Stereo, and Safety Track output modes.
You can also monitor audio using the 3.5mm headphone output jack.
Saramonic claims that the 2.4GHz wireless system guarantees seamless connectivity, providing reliable and interference-free performance, although every audio company says that! The claimed operating range is 150m / 492′.
