These drives were designed as affordable options for photographers, videographers, and content creators. The SL600 USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Portable SSDs have claimed read and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. What you clearly need to know is that to achieve the maximum advertised speeds, your computer or host device has to be certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standard. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.
You could use the drive to attach directly to a compatible camera that can record externally using USB-C.
They are compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android, and they connect to your host system using a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface.
An aluminum enclosure is stated to help physically protect the drive against shock, vibration, and temperature extremes. They also come with Lexar DataShield that utilizes 256-bit AES encryption to help keep sensitive files secure.
The drive may be stored in your bag, or you can use the carabiner strap to secure it to the exterior of your travel bag.
To help ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices, USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables are included.
