The LituFoto U8r Smart App RGB COB Light is a budget friendly and compact sized fixture aimed at content creators.
We have started to see quite a few small sized box style COB lights coming to market in the last year or so. I have tested a few of them and deespite their low cost they can provide very good results.
The U8r weighs just 250g / 0.55 lb. This small size and weight makes it appealing for anyone who likes to keep their kit small and portable.
The light doesn’t feature an in-built battery and it needs to be powered via the included power supply, however, you can also utilize the 12-24V USB-C input so you can power it using a power bank or directly from a USB-C PD power supply.
You can also purchase an optional battery grip that can be attached to the bottom of the fixture.
The U8r utilizes a 60W COB LED and it has a claimed output of 2050 xl @1m when used with its reflector and 525 lx @1m when using its diffusion dome.
The fixture has CCT adjustability of 2700-7500K, full RGB capabilities and a range of special effects that you can use. As well as having on board controls you can also operate it using a free Bluetooth app.
The U8r doesn’t”t have a Bowens-S mount as standard, but you can purchase an optional adapter ring that lets you utilize Bowens-S mount accessories.
