The tripod is constructed with durable, lightweight aluminum and it has a maximum operating height of 72.4″ / 183.89cm with its column extended, and it folds down to 17.7″ / 44.95cm in length for transport in the included carrying bag.
Now, even though the legs can support weights of up to 33 lb / 14.96 kg, the head can only take weights of up to 8.8 lb / 3.99kg. This will mean that what you can run on it will be somewhat limited. It is more suitable for use with anything from smartphones and mirrorless hybrids up to small-sized digital cinema cameras.
Given its low weight and small size it would make for a good second tripod in your kit when you ned to run an additional camera for locked-off shots. While there is no reason why you couldn’t use it as a regular tripod, I usually find budget fluid heads are never that great for panning and tilting.
The fluid head can pan 360° and tilt +90/-55°, and it features a leveling bowl that allows +10/-10° adjustments. Its quick-release Arca-type plate features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 camera screws to accommodate all camera types. Other features include two 1/4″-20 threads on the legs and a detachable monopod.
Being able to detach the center column and use it as a monopod certainly increases its versatility.
