Canon didn’t have any new cameras at IBC this year but they were showing off their 17-120mm servo cine zoom. The lens which was announced at NAB earlier in the year is now shipping and has already proved popular with shooters and rental companies.
On our live show we also talk about the XF205 camcorder with self shooter Phil Coates. The camera is the latest in the XF line and features a really good image stabilisation system, a wide zoom range and 50Mb/s MXF recording in camera. Phil talks about why he chooses it in many situations over large sensor cameras like the C300 and C100.
