The Sony ZV-E1 Mirrorless Camera is a compact full-frame camera designed for vlogging and photography. The Tilta Half Camera Cage for the Sony ZV-E1 is a lightweight cage with several accessories available to expand the camera’s video capabilities while keeping a compact form factor. It’s also available in a full cage setup.
The cage supports a wide range of external accessories while maintaining a small footprint via multiple mounting options, including a Cold Shoe Receiver, NATO Rail, M3 Threads for Lens Support, and ¼”-20 threads with locating points.
The included NATO Rail and NATO Top Handle allow for more flexible shooting and handling, specifically useful for shooting low angles.
The Top Handle also expands mounting options with additional 1/4″-20 threads and a Cold Shoe Mount, which is the perfect option for an external monitor.
The cage is available in half and full, depending on your needs.
You can transition between horizontal and vertical shooting configurations with the detachable ARCA quick-release plate, which can be mounted both on the bottom and side of the cage.
Compatible with the Sony ECM-W2BT wireless microphone, this camera cage offers seamless integration with your audio setup.
Due to the L-Bracket shape, this cage allows you to maintain uninterrupted access to camera ports, user buttons, and the battery compartment without the need to remove the cage.
Cooling System
With such a small form factor and full-frame sensor, the ZV-E1 might have issues with overheating. To circumvent the potential issue Tilta has a cooling system that is coming soon.
