Irix has released the Edge Black Mist Filter. The new Black Mist filter creates the effect of a delicate haze or blurring of the image. They are popular among filmmakers who want to give their productions a specific atmosphere or romantic mood.
Black Mist filters work by diffusing light and lowering the contrast without excessive interference with the darker parts of the image. This creates a characteristic effect. IRIX states that using the highest quality optical glass, additionally covered with 18 anti-reflective coatings on each side, allows you to maintain the highest possible image quality. At the same time, the glass tempering technology (SR) makes it extremely resistant to damage. The additional waterproof and oil-resistant NANO coating prevents stains and fingerprints and allows use in extreme weather conditions.
Low-profile frames and specially designed edges provide very good grip and functionality with an aesthetic appearance that harmonizes with all Irix products. Of course, filters can also be used with lenses from other brands.
