We didn’t get a chance to cover it back at NAB, but Hedge will become OffShoot and OffShoot Pro. Hedge’s initial goal was to have this done by early June, however, ongoing development and refinement means that date has been pushed back.
OffShoot is essentially Hedge but with a new name, new price, and a lot of new features.
If you are not familiar with Hedge it is a great piece of copy and verification software. I have personally been using it ever since its launch and have always found it to be a very easy-to-use and reliable way of copying and verifying media transfers.
At NAB, Hedge shared details of its official Beta program and they were overwhelmed by the positive response. If you want to still sign up for the Beta program you still can.
