Godox has announced a series of WTR and WTD RGB and Daylight Dive Tube Lights. They are available in the following sizes:
- Godox WT25R RGB Dive Tube Light (9.8″)
- Godox WT40R RGB Dive Tube Light (15″)
- Godox WT60R RGB Dive Tube Light (25″)
There is also a range of daylight-only tubes in the same sizes:
- Godox WT25D Daylight Dive Tube Light (9.8″)
- Godox WT40D Daylight Dive Tube Light (15″)
- Godox WT60D Daylight Dive Tube Light (25″)
These look like great options if you need to use or place lights in any sort of water. Having a light in your kit that can be used in this capacity is always very handy.
I am not sure how well these would go when used for diving as Godox doesn’t list how much output they have on their website, however, I did some digging and found this in the instruction manual:
Based on this output, I doubt these tube lights are going to be anywhere near as bright as proper diving lights.

The tube lights have a depth rating of 131′ / 39.92m and they feature full RBGWW capabilities. The fixtures have an adjustable CCT range of 1800-10,000K. There are also 37 preset special effects that can simulate a wide range of shooting scenes.
In a nice touch, as soon as they are submerged, the lights automatically switch to a higher intensity, although this can be adjusted manually.
The tubes feature fluorescent buttons, so you can operate in complete darkness. A built-in OLED panel shows the light’s battery level. If you are using the lights out of the water you can also control them via a Bluetooth app from up to 82′ away.
The claimed runtime when they are used at full power is up to 2 hours (for the WT60R RGB Dive Tube Light (25″) when used underwater at 100% brightness and 10 hours when used out of the water at 100% brightness. The times are less for both the WT25R RGB Dive Tube Light (9.8″) and the WT40R RGB Dive Tube Light (15″).
This increased run time when used out of the water does sound a little odd, and I wonder whether you can also activate the highest brightness setting when you are not using it in the water. The charging time via the DC input port is claimed to be 2 hours.
Both ends of the tube lights are equipped with 1/4″-20 screw holes. The tubes also come with built-in strap mounts so you can hold onto them so they won’t end up at the bottom of the ocean!
