Convergent Design has announced a price drop of $995 USD to $695 USD for the popular Quad-channel Apollo firmware option. Odyssey7Q+ customers can now enjoy 4-channel 1080p60 or 2-channel UHDp30 recording with no changes to their existing hardware.

Despite being released a long time ago, the Convergent Design monitor/recorders are still extremely useful tools that can still be used today. I still own an Odyssey 7Q+ and I know quite a few people who are still using it today. These monitor/recorders were arguably ahead of their time and they offered features and functionality that other competing products simply didn’t have.
Convergent Design has also dropped the price of its RAW Bundle price from $495 USD to $295 USD. The RAW Bundle works with Odyssey7Q+ and Odyssey7Q, and offers support for more than 5 camera manufacturers (including ARRI, Canon, Sony, Panasonic, IO Industries, and IndieCam) and over 10 camera models. If you own or use a Panasonic Varicam LT, Sony FS700, FS5, FS7, Canon C500, Canon C300 Mark II, or any of the ARRI RAW capable cameras, an Odyssey 7Q/ 7Q+ with the RAW Bundle gives your camera a lot of flexibility
A Convergent Design Odyssey 7Q+ and the RAW Bundle is a great combination to use with cameras such as the ARRI ALEXA PLUS.

Service and Repairs of Your Odyssey/Apollo
Even though Convergent Design doesn’t sell the Odyssey or Apollo anymore, they will still repair them. Some parts are no longer available and may make repairs difficult or impossible. Please send your requests to [email protected]. You will need to ship your unit ¥back to Convergent Design, and include your contact info and a brief description of the problem. An RMA is not necessary.
