The Vaxis Storm 058 Pro was designed to be a compact, yet high-quality wireless monitoring solution that could be used by a wide array of people for different purposes.
Vaxis actually released the original Storm Focus 058 Monitor With Built-in Wireless way back in early 2019. I reviewed it on the site and found that it was lacking in a lot of areas. Vaxis actually ended up removing the wireless monitor from sale. The new Pro version looks completely different and Vaxis looks to have improved it a lot based on some of the suggestions and feedback I gave them.
The Storm Focus 058 Pro looks to be utilizing the same OS system that they use in their Storm Cine 8 Wireless Monitor.
What is nice about the Storm 058 Pro, is that you can have one single Vaxis TX unit send signals to 20 Storm 058 Pros at once. This makes it a good solution if you need to give multiple members of your crew wireless monitors.
As far as wireless transmission is concerned, the Storm 058 Pro has an operating range of 200m / 656′. It is compatible with a large array of Vaxis TX units. What you clearly need to know is this is a professional wireless video system and it is sending uncompressed images with zero delay.
On the back of the Storm 058 Pro, there is an integrated V-mount battery plate.
As the Storm 058 Pro was designed specifically as a wireless video RX monitoring solution it doesn’t have any inputs or outputs.
