Clinton Harn talks to Jihua from Kinefinity about the new KineMINI 4k and the KineMAX 6k cameras. The KineMINI features a Super 35 CMOS sensor that records 4k in either uncompressed or compressed Cinema DNG, and Cineform RAW. It comes with a choice of either native Canon EF or the Kinemount system (allowing for Canon, Nikon, PL and B4 mounts), can shoot at up to 100fps in 1080p HD and record in super 16 at 2k, using the centre of the sensor. The KineMAX, with its Super 35 CMOS sensor, records 6k in uncompressed or compressed Cinema DNG, and can shoot 100fps in 4k. The Micro four thirds crop allows for 4k shooting while 3k is possible from the super 16 crop. The KineMINI is priced from $3,200, the price for the KineMAX is still to be confirmed but around $6,000-10,000. Both are on pre-order.
