At NAB 2022, Lindsey Optics was showing its Large Format Optical Directors Viewfinders. These Viewfinders provide full optical lens viewing through cine lenses for a range of formats including Super-35, Full Frame, Red Monstro 8K, and ARRI Alexa 65.
The LF Directors Viewfinder has interchangeable modules for quick tool-free format changes. Available modules include Large Format (ARRI Alexa 65) VistaVision (RED Monstro 8K), Full Frame (Sony Venice) and Super 35. Ground Glasses attach magnetically to the format modules. Ground glasses are marked using the included Ground Glass Marking Kit
Equipped with an LPL lens mount, each LF Directors Viewfinder is shipped with an LPL to PL adapter. The NATO Rails on the Directors Viewfinder body and on the handle extension provide balance adjustment for use with heavy lenses
