At NAB 2022, Aputure has shown prototype RGBWW tube lights. Aputure recently announce amaran branded RGBWW tube lights, but these will be the first Aputure branded tube lights.
A lot of Aputure users have been patiently waiting for the company to make tube lights, but please bear in mind that these are just prototypes and it may be quite a long time before you can actually purchase one.
The tube light series will be called the MT Pro and the first light in the series is a 1ft long tube that draws 7W. According to Aputure the MT Pro uses the same RGBWW technology found in the Nova series and new LS 600c Pro. It has 9 different pixel effect modes and 9 different FX modes. It is Kelvin color temperature adjustable from 2,000-10,000K.

The MT1 is claimed to be able to output 597+ lux at a distance of 50cm / 19.68″ and it has a battery life of 105 minutes when used at max power.
It has integrated magnets so you can attach it directly to metal surfaces and it will come with a 45° soft honeycomb grid and a mini tripod with ball head.
There is nothing terribly new or exciting about this tube light that we haven’t already seen before. Pixel effects and RGBWW tube lights have been around for years. If you are an owner of other Aputure fixtures then you will probably buy this.
