Along with teasing new Macro Cine Primes, SIRUI also has a new Jupiter 28-85mm T3.2 Full-Frame Cine Zoom.
It is a little odd that SIRUI is marketing the 28-85mm T3.2 along with the macro Cine Primes as a 3+1 set as his is a bit of a bizarre combination of lenses.
SIRUI claimes that the 28-85mm T3.2 produces sharp images without being overly sharp (whatever that is supposed to mean!). The lens features a parfocal design.
The Jupiter 28-85mm T3.2 Full-Frame Cine Zoom features all-metal construction and it covers an image circle of up to 43mm. It also has a common 110mm filter thread, a lens support adapter, and a zoom lever.
Just like the Jupiter Macro Cine primes, it is available in either PL or EF mount and there are also E-mount and RF-mount adapters you can purchase separately.
The 28-85mm T3.2 weighs 2.5 kg / 5.56 lb in PL mount. and it has a claimed minimum focusing distance of 70cm / 2.3′, which doesn’t quite sound right. 70cm would be pretty awful for a lens that is 28mm at the wide end.
The SIRUI Jupiter 28-85mm T3.2 Full-Frame Cine Zoom looks very similar to the Chiopt 28-85mm T3.2 lens that I recently reviewed.
