OM SYSTEM not only announced the new OM-1 today but also two new lenses. These lenses are the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4 PRO.
OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II from OM SYSTEM is a compact and lightweight zoom for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.
The optical design consists of 14 elements in 9 groups and it includes a variety of sophisticated elements that are claimed to reduce both chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range. A ZERO lens coating is also said to improve contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. The minimum focusing distance is 7.9″ / 20cm
The lens features a high-speed movie and still compatible autofocus system that is claimed to offer fast, smooth, and silent focusing performance.
The lens features a weather-sealed design for use in inclement and harsh conditions, as well as a fluorine lens coating that provides additional protection from dust, water droplets, grease, and dirt.

The OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4 PRO Lens is also being touted as a compact and lightweight lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.
The lens is claimed to offers outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness. The optical design consists of 15 elements in 9 groups as well as a variety of sophisticated elements that are claimed to reduce both chromatic and spherical aberrations.
The minimum focusing distance is 27.6″ / 70cm. The lens also features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm.
