BBC’s Top Gear has posted up a nice little video on Twitter where Series Director Jon Richards talks about the techniques the show uses to capture the essence of speed when filming moving vehicles.
Yes, some of these techniques shown can require some specialized equipment, but it is a good insight into what type of shots work well when filming vehicles.
Please be extra careful when shooting vehicles as safety should always be paramount. Nobody should be attempting to film shots like these on public roads that haven’t been closed off.
