OWC has announced Fast Forward, an all-inclusive hardware-as-a-service program for creative professionals. Essentially is like an all-inclusive lease.
Fast Forward is clearly being targeted at production houses and not individuals.
For one monthly payment, you get storage, software, support coverage, and more. OWC also gives you the flexibility to cancel after 12 months or to upgrade to a newer, bigger, or faster model.
The one monthly payment gives you unlimited user access to the storage and all of the included software, onboarding, and training, as well as a 1hr workflow consultation. There is no long-term commitment and trade-in options are available after each contract period ends.
The first product being offered in the OWC Fast Forward program is the Jellyfish Mobile 48TB & 96TB.
Above you can see what you get with the Fast Forward program for the Jellyfish Mobile options. While $695 USD or $1,095 USD may sound like a lot of money, you need to clearly remember that a 96TB Jellyfish Mobile costs $9,495 USD to purchase.
