In the last few months, we have seen a number of RGBWW bulbs come to the market that use the standard Edison E26/E27 socket like the Aputure B7c that Erik reviewed a few months ago.
If you are using them in a light fixture, it’s easy enough to swap out the light bulb but what if you want to use them standalone? that’s where the Betty Eddy comes in.
The Betty “Eddy” is a medium 1″ Edison screw light socket that sits on top of a 4″ Baby Pin.
It is built from aluminium and hard anodised. Besides the standard mounting, the baby pin also has three 1/4″-20 threaded holes so you can attach it to other accessories.
Optional Magnetic Base
The Eddy is also available with a 2.5″ magnetic base, making it possible to mount lights on other surfaces.
It uses eight rubber coated magnets for a strong grip and has threaded holes to attach a safety chain or carabiner.
Pricing & Availability
The Eddy is available for $14.95 or $19.95 with the 2.5″ magnetic base. You can also choose whether you would like the pink or black logo.
You can buy it now from Hot Rod Cameras.
