To celebrate the year of the ox, TTArtisan has made 500 special “Red Limited Edition” versions of its 50mm f/0.95 ASPH lens.
Red is a very auspicious color in a lot of areas of Asia, and hey, if someone can make white lenses, why not make a red one.
The TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 ASPH “Red Limited Edition” combines a metallic red lens barrel with an 18-karat gold-plated mount. The design is meant to reflect this year’s zodiac “Yin Metal Ox”.
The lens is based on the existing TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 ASPH Leica M mount version, with the only exception being that the filter diameter has been reduced by 5mm.
The optical design consists of aspherical lenses, ED lenses, and high-refraction low-dispersion lenses. The lens also features 14 aperture blades.
