The LARK 150 is the first 2.4GHz digital wireless microphone system in the Hollyland microphone product line. Hollyland is better known for its wireless video systems and is now offering wireless audio as well.
Two Transmitters Included
The LARK 150 is an interesting product as it includes two small clip-on transmitters that include a built-in highly sensitive omnidirectional microphone.
The Combo system includes two transmitters and one receiver plus a Lavalier Microphone, a 3.5mm TRS cable, windshield, and a storage bag. The hard case doubles as a charging/pairing storage box. Pretty clever design. The system is designed for Vlogging, YouTubing, Interviews, and On-Stage Talk Shows, Commercials, Live Streaming, and Other Types of Content Creation.

Charging and Paring Case
The charging case provides portability and convenience to the system. The case charges the whole system in about 2.5 hours with a 4.5-hour battery life on the transmitter and a 7.5-hour life on the receiver.
The LARK 150 auto pairs the transmitters and the receiver when in the charging/storage box.
It has 100m transmission, two-way mute, safety track audio mode, real-time audio monitoring.
Audio Processing
The LARK 150 has DSP (Digital Signal Processor) intelligent noise cancellation and an anti-vibration sound chamber design with ultra-wide frequency response and ultra-high SNR (Signal To Noise Ratio).
The DSP method ensures a noise-free audio transmission by filtering low-frequency environmental noises. It reduces post-stage noise cancellation processing and improves the efficiency of content output.
The latency is 5ms with a range of 100m wireless audio transmission. The LARK 150 has a Power-On Smart Frequency selection feature that scans 8,000 Times Per Second using Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) to avoid interference.
Safety Track Option
The LARK 150 is a stereophonic microphone system with standard Mono Track and Stereo Track options. The most popular setup would be to have each TX on a separate track. This is done by splitting the stereo track into dual mono. Hollyland added a safety track as a third option. The safety track is a dual-channel audio designed. Both TX will be recorded to one track and the second track will be recorded at a lower -6db level.
The official MSRP of The LARK 150 is $329 US.
The LARK 150 looks to be a solid first wireless audio product for budget productions. I like that it includes two transmitters with a compact receiver that attaches with a hot-shoe. It’s great to see so many low-cost wireless audio systems these days as capturing good audio is a must for all productions.
