Nanlux Dyno 650C & 1200C RGBWW LED Lights

Nanlux has announced two new RGBWW LED lights, the Dyno 650C and Dyno 1200C.

The Dyno 650C and the Dyno 1200C are very large fixtures that are designed to be more affordable solutions than other larger RGB soft light fixtures such as the ARRI S120-C and ARRI S360-C.

Who is Nanlux?

Nanlux is a new brand from a Chinese lighting company called Nanguang. Nanguang has been around for 30 years and they also own both Nanlite and Ledgo.

Dyno 1200C

The Dyno 1200C RGBWW Panel is a 36.6 x 36 x 6.4″ panel with a wide beam angle of 160 degrees. It has a Kelvin color temperature range of 2700 to 20000K.

Nanlux claims that the Dyno 1200C can output 5596lx at a distance of 3m (9.84ft) in a Boost mode. We reached out and Nanlux confirmed that the measurements were all taken with the diffusion panel attached.

As a comparison, the ARRI SkyPanel S360-C is claimed to output 5633lx (at 3200K) and 5133lx (at 5600K) at the same distance.

To generate that much output the light draws 1200W (nominal and 1400W (Max). Nanlux claims that the light has a CRI of 95.

The housing of the light is made out of aluminum and the fully adjustable yolk features a junior pin. The light weighs a whopping 26.2kg ‘57.8lb) and the separate power supply tips the scales at 7.5kg (16.5lb). The standard diffusion panel that you see in front of the light weighs an additional 3kg (6.6lb). The light does have a fan to keep it cool.
