NAB 2013: JVC GY-HM650U gets connected from Dan Chung on Vimeo.
Sharon Levy, proud to call herself a cameraman, walks us through the unusually well-connected JVC GY-HM650U. The 650, originally launched last year has had a significant firmware update and now has an internet connection so you can stream over a cellular data card or control the camera remotely. This also allows for remote operation via a handheld device or from the newsroom. The camera has two built-in codecs and, for those needing to multitask, you can record and stream in different formats at the same time.
