
The Portkeys PT5 III is a 5.4-inch touchscreen monitor with HDMI input/output ports that can be powered by a single Sony NP-F battery. The PT5 III comes with the Portkey’s MOVNORM OS that features a full suite of professional monitoring tools.

The Portkeys PT5 III is made out of ABS and polycarbonate, and it only weighs 154.5g / 5.45oz and has dimensions of 135.1 x 82.5 x 22mm. Being so lightweight, it would make for a good solution on top of small cameras or for use with gimbals.

The monitor has a 5.4-inch 8-bit touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1152, a peak brightness of 800 nits, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a wide 178° viewing angle.

The MOVNORM OS features the following monitoring tools:
- 3D LUT monitoring with 3D LUT HDMI output capabilities: you can load Custom LUTs via the USB-A port at the bottom of the monitor.
- Anamorphic image de-squeeze with all the standard ratios (1.33x, 1.5x, 2.0x) and the possibility to enter a custom aspect ratio from 0.25 to 4.0x.
- Stretch leg tool: when shooting vertically, you can stretch the bottom part of the image. The stretch leg tool feature can be sent to the HDMI output.
- Customizable False Color with 13 different colors, including ARRI False Color.
- RGB and Luma Waveform/Histogram exposure tools. There is also an adjustable Zebra tool.
- Image Capture and Image Overlay. Image Capture takes a snapshot of the HDMI video input (combined with a LUT if desired) and saves it to the monitor’s memory. Then, you can set the transparency/opacity of the Image Overlay. This feature is helpful for shot matching (continuity) or a quick overview of the day’s shots.
- The 360° color grader allows you to modify the Hue and Saturation of a chosen image section. You can accurately identify and isolate a particular color range within the image and adjust it.
- There is a built-in image flip, so you can position the monitor in your favorite position on your camera rig, no matter its orientation.
- Free rectangle cropping allows you to create a zoomed-in close-up shot inside your image. You can create multiple rectangle cropping presets to add dynamism to your live stream quickly and easily.
- The peaking function allows you to set a specific peaking range and zone that applies to only a part of the image. You can also zoom inside the image to help you easily nail focus.
- Framing tools: crosshair, check field, guides, grids, rectangle crop.
- Adjust your image’s contrast, sharpness, brightness, color temperature, and tint.
- Audio meters.
- Monitor adjustments: backlight, contrast, color temperature, sharpness, chroma, brightness, tint, HDR HLG, OSD Flip mode.

On the left side of the PT5 III is one HDMI video input port that supports resolutions up to 4K DCI at 30p, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 3.5mm microphone input. The HDMI output port that supports resolutions up to 1080P60 is situated on the right side of the monitor. Above the HDMI output port is one USB-C port, which can be used to power the monitor externally via a power bank or V-Mount/Gold Mount battery.

On the back of the Portkeys PT5 III is an integrated battery plate compatible with Sony NP-F style batteries. With a power consumption of just 7W, a Sony NP-F 550 battery can power the monitor for over two hours. For extended usage, you can connect the PT5 III to an external power source using its USB-C port. Additionally, there is a USB-A port located at the bottom of the monitor for performing firmware updates and uploading custom LUTs.
The Portkeys PT5 III features two 1/4 “-20 mounting points on the bottom and right sides of the monitor, equipped with locating pins for attaching it to your camera, camera rig, tripod, or gimbal.
