Nikon announced the Nikon Zf firmware version 2.00, which adds new functions inherited from the Nikon Z9 flagship camera and the Nikon Z6III, including access to the Imaging Cloud, bird subject-detection, Hi-Res Zoom and more functions when shooting with a manual focus lens.
Firmware Version 2.00:
- Features support for Nikon Imaging Cloud, allowing for the automatic transfer of images, automatic firmware updates and access to creative Imaging Recipes so users can get the look and style of their favorite creators
- Adds a dedicated [Birds] subject-detection option, providing more accurate detection that allows for tracking of birds in various shooting scenarios
- Incorporates the Hi-Res Zoom function so users can zoom-in to up to twice the actual focal length with no loss in resolution in full-HD recording
- Improves shooting with manual-focus lenses, including vintage lenses, with the ability to quickly exit the magnified display by half-pressing the shutter-release button
- Exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity can be assigned to the main or sub-command dial in manual shooting mode
- Includes the ability to manually record aperture values in order to review and appreciate the subtle differences in image results when shooting with different aperture values at or near the maximum aperture
