The iodine Pro Mini SSD drive is a cool product. It’s designed for the professional production space, where you need a robust and safe way to transfer your footage to an SSD drive and pass it on to the editor or achieve.
Features of iodyne Pro Mini
One of the drive’s big features is its RAID-6 configuration. If a chip or two fails, the RAID will keep your footage safe. The drives are available in 4TB and 8TB. Iodine states that the drives are true to size as they were designed to accommodate the extra space a RAD-6 requires.

A new cooling feature allows the drive to never throttle down due to heat. It uses Air Jet Technology. The drives have a nice large display that can be customized. They state that they wanted to make a better way to quickly see the capacity and what the date on the drive is.
The iodine Pro Mini has an NFS transponder built in.. This gives the drive security and allows it to be accessed only with a mobile device and the user’s app or computer.
The drive can also be used with USB-C recording-capable cameras. This gives you the security I mentioned, plus encryption.
iodyne Cloud Fleet Management
iodyne also showed a new online service called iodyne Cloud Fleet Management. This service lets you know where the drives are physically located. Add them to projects and keep an inventory. It’s an end-to-end solution for the Pro Mini.
Pricing and Availability
The Pro Mini 4TB retails for $1,495 USD and the 8TB is $2,195 USD.
iodyne Cloud is a subscription-based service. There will be a free version. Pricing for Pro subscriptions is $12 USD per month per device, and enterprise is $15 USD per month per device.
