Nextorage has announced its new NX-A2PRO series, which they are claiming is the world’s first VPG800-compliant CFexpress Type A memory card. They have also announced the NX-A2AE series, an advanced model for video recording.
Each series will be available in late April 2025.
NX-A2PRO Series

The NX-A2PRO series is a professional model of CFexpress Type A memory card that adopts pSLC NAND Flash Memory and is compatible with CFexpress4.0. It is compliant with the Video Performance Guarantee (VPG) 800, expected to be supported in the high-end camera market in the future. VPG800 guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 800 MB/s, as specified in Video Performance Guarantee Profile 5.0 established by the CompactFlash Association on February 27, 2025. Additionally, it is also
compatible with VPG400 specified in Video Performance Guarantee Profile 4.0, ensuring compatibility with current CFexpress Type A memory card compatible devices. It features specifications essential for professionals who capture decisive moments, minimizing buffer clearing time during high-speed continuous shooting.
The NX-A2PRO Series transfers data with CFexpress 2.0 for devices non-CFexpress 4.0 devices. By supporting CFexpress 4.0, the NX-A2PRO series achieves a best-in-class level of maximum read speed: 1,950 MB/s. When used with the NX-SA1PRO, a CFexpress Type A card reader equipped with a
USB 40Gbps interface (maximum transfer speed: 5,000 MB/s), large amounts of data can be transferred quickly

To support extended shooting sessions, the lineup includes capacities of up to 2,000 GB. This memory card is ideal for professionals and advanced amateurs working on large-scale projects who require high capacity and high performance.
With CFexpress 4.0 support, the card achieves a maximum read speed of 1,950 MB/s.
