Haivision has introduced its new Falkon X2 series, an all-new line of dual-modem, quad-antenna mobile video transmitters designed for live broadcast contribution over any network, including both public and private 5G.

According to Haivision, this new mobile transmitter series provides low latency and pristine quality 4K 10-bit HDR video over bonded cellular networks to redefine live sports and news coverage anywhere, anytime.

It was designed for broadcasters who want to deliver the highest-quality live coverage of sports, breaking news, and events from even the most remote corners of the globe. The dual-modem, quad-antenna 5G technology and 2×2 MIMO support are claimed to ensure easy connectivity, long range, and maximum efficiency, even under challenging conditions.

The series features a lightweight design and intuitive touchscreen interface to make operation easy for crews in the field. It can be camera-mounted or carried in a backpack, and its integrated rechargeable battery supports hours of uninterrupted transmission.

With remote management, master control teams can take the reins from anywhere, while on-site broadcasters focus on capturing the moments that matter most. It can deliver 4:2:2 10-bit HDR video, and it has both SDI and HDMI inputs.
