Lightbridge has quietly launched its new CRLS 2.0 Touch Proof reflectors. This is claimed to be a significant upgrade to the entire CRLS line.

The new CRLS 2.0 features a touch-proof surface that is easy to clean, does not require gloves, and resists watermarking, staining, and oxidation.

While the original CRLS reflectors are great, they do mark easily and can get scratched up. You need to treat them care and it is best to use gloves when handling them. This was far from ideal, and over the last few years, Lightbridge has been testing out a new design to help eliminate these issues.

Touch proof

On set, time is money, and often you need to move fast. The last thing you want to be doing is cleaning reflector panels that you have just taken out of a bag.

According to Lightbridge, the new CRLS 2.0 Touch Proof reflectors don’t stain and won’t get micro-scratches. The company states that over the last 6 months, the new offerings have been tested in the toughest of conditions across the globe. From the high humidity and salty air of Indonesia to the dry deserts of Spain and the moist climate of England.

Same performance as the originals

Touch proof is claimed to bring you the same Lightbridge Precision Reflector specifications that have been a staple of their products for over 8 years.

The new CRLS 2.0 Touch Proof reflectors are available in all sizes, from 7×7 cm to 100×100 cm, and in DIFF0 to DIFF3.

(DIFF4’s Super White finish remains unchanged.)

Easier Cleaning

You no longer need to use special cleaning agents, you simply use water (or add a drop of dish soap).

Important: DO NOT use isopropanol as it will damage the Touchproof finish. While your reflector will remain functional, it will lose parts of its protective qualities.

Upgrade Step by Step

You can now replace individual Reflectors while keeping the rest of your setup unchanged ( C-Wheels, bags, and cases stay the same).
