Not only do they perform very well, but they are also affordable, making them accessible to all creatives. Whether you shoot with a cinema camera, mirrorless camera, or iPhone, there is a Ronin for everyone!

DJI RS 4 Mini; Compact, Lightweight and Powerful

DJI RS 4 Mini

The DJI RS 4 Mini is the all-new compact, lightweight gimbal for a wide variety of creatives. It features automated axis locks, intelligent composition, Teflon™ enhanced balancing, and 3rd-gen native vertical shooting. Its compact design is also powerful, as it can hold a 4.4-lb mirrorless camera or a mobile phone such as an iPhone. The versatility is amazing and will empower content creators and independent commercial videographers to create stunning stabilized footage.

RS 4 Mini Intelligent Tracking

A new and powerful feature is RS Intelligent Tracking with an AI camera module that pops on its mount, turns on automatically when mounted, and is ready to track and control with gestures! The Single-Handed Camera Stabilizer

Ronin S

In 2018, DJI launched its first single-handed camera stabilizer, the Ronin-S, bringing DJI’s long-accumulated industrial-grade stabilizer technology to the market at a more accessible price.
The Ronin-S solved the camera load issue, however, the R&D team believed there was still room for improvement in the weight of the first-generation single-handed camera stabilizer. Engineers wanted to create a lightweight gimbal that more users could use.

These setups were heavy! Only the users with ‘strong arms’ could shoot with them, so the R&D team developed and launched the Ronin-SC in 2019, a lighter camera stabilizer with a correspondingly adapted load capacity.

DJI continues to balance total weight of the Ronin for the load capacity it holds and the team has succeeded in introducing several Ronin products that do just that.

In 2020, DJI, with the RS 2, successfully developed a carbon fiber process for the axis arm. This significantly reduced the body weight, enhancing photographers’ comfort during long-term use. It was the industry’s first single-handed stabilizer to use this process.

In 2022, DJI launched the RS 3 and RS 3 Pro.

RS Mini

DJI realized a gap in entry-level gimbal products, so they began developing the DJI Mini series stabilizers, the DJI RS 3 Mini.
In 2023 DJI made improvements on features and usability to further enhance the creative usefulness of the handheld gimbal.

Ronin’s Evolution

DJI released the groundbreaking Ronin-M in 2014, and since then, they have kept innovating and improving the Ronin lineup. DJI has a system for everyone, from heavy, fully kitted cinema cameras to lightweight iPhones with ProRes recording capability.

Global Recognition

DJI Ronin cameras, gimbals, and stabilizers have been used on the sets of Emmy Award-winning television productions and Academy Award-winning films, including Ted Lasso, The Bear, Fargo, Squid Game, The Handmaid’s Tale, Watchmen, Survivor, The Banshees of Inisherin, NomadlandThe Whale, and many more.
DJI has garnered several technical awards over the years. The DJI Ronin Series was recently awarded a 2024 Emmy® Award for Engineering, Science & Technology, and Ronin 2 wins an Oscar® Scientific and Technical Award to Sui Tie for the development of the sensor analysis and stabilization software, Bei Shimen for the electrical engineering, and Zhao Yanchong for the mechanical design and engineering of the Ronin 2 gimbal system.

Move with the DJI Ronin

If you want smooth, stabilized shots, look no further than a DJI Ronin handheld gimbal. There are many models to choose from depending on the camera you want to use and how much weight you can hold. Now, with the Intelligent Tracking AI camera module, first seen with the new RS 4 Mini, you can have your subject perfectly framed while achieving that perfect shot and use gestures to change functions. These are great tools to unleash your creativity.
