SmallRig Cooling Fan for Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5

SmallRig has announced a Cooling Fan for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5. The SmallRig solution features a 7000 RPM high-speed fan with TEC cooling technology to dissipate heat, with the goal being to allow users to extend their shooting time without having their camera overheat.

The only caveat with using one of these cooling fan solutions is that you can’t close the LCD screen. While it may not be practical for a lot of applications if you are working in hot environments and need to record uninterrupted for long periods of time, then it is a relatively inexpensive solution that you could keep in a bag.

We have previously seen both Tilta and Ulanzi make similar solutions.

There are two speed modes that users can choose from, depending on what environments you are working in and what your shooting needs are.

SmallRig claims that you can shoot 4K 60p at an ambient temperature of 77 degrees F for as long as you want without any overheating issues when using the cooling solution.

It features a snap-on design and no tools are required for installation and removal.

An integrated mount bracket accommodates Canon, Sony, and other mirrorless cameras, so you can use the cooling fan with multiple different cameras.
