There’s a new tough SDXC card from Lexar in town, and it will be available with capacities up to 1TB. I think all SD Cards should be designed like these, with no ribs and a more robust design.
For now, Lexar has released the 128GB and 256GB ARMOR GOLD UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, that takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced mirrorless camera functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting as well as raw and JPEG captures.
The SDXC card is also great for video capture, including 6K, 4K, and Full HD video. It can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 280 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 205 MB/s. with its V60 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 60 MB/s. Only downside is you require V90 specifications, the new Lexar ARMOR GOLD doesn’t offer it.
Lexar has built this card with a stainless steel design that can withstand drops up to 16.4′, temperature extremes from -13 to 185°F, and is IP68 rated against dust and water.
It also features a pressure resistance of 370N and is ribless with no write protect switch, helping to further guard against physical damage that can affect SD cards, such as a broken plastic casing, a broken data protection lock, and broken connector ribs. Should the card’s data become compromised, Lexar offers a free Recovery Tool.

Sony also has a Tough card that is a V90 class and V60. The V60 Sony SF-G TOUGH Series UHS-II SDXC Memory Card 128GB retails for $68 and the 256GB is $128
