amaran has announced the launch of its full lineup of modifiers, a series of ten versatile lighting accessories in a range of shapes and sizes, from compact, circular modifiers for on-the-go to large, omnidirectional modifiers for illuminating entire studios. The new softboxes are compact and easy to set up.
The new modifiers will work well with the amaran COB S series and the amaran 150c & 300c. Since they use the popular Bowens Mount, they can be used on any light fixture that also features it.
Quick Setup
Earlier models required each rod to be inserted into the mount. The new design is so much faster with the one-snap setup. The amaran Octa Dome and amaran Light Box modifiers pitch and break down easily and quickly. Pull on the speed ring handle to snap into their shape in seconds. Creators now have a dependable lighting solution without complicated and extended setup times.
The Light Dome and Lantern modifiers also have their own quick-release rod and quick-build setups, allowing you to adapt them quickly.
Flat-Pack Design

Designed to emulate natural light sources like the sun, the amaran Light Dome 60 & 90 features a 16-sided, near-perfect-circle shape optimized for close-up shots, portraits, and interviews. In contrast, the larger amaran Light Dome 90 provides a broader, soft spread over larger studio setups and group shots.

The amaran Octa Domes are great for creating natural, round, soft light but with a space-saving design with minimal bulk and maximum convenience with its simple, one-snap, flat-pack design. With its octagonal shape, creators can cast a soft, rounded glow over your subjects.

The amaran Light Boxes deliver clean, straight reflections with their rectangular design. These are great for side lighting with minimal spill. The 45×45’s square shape is ideal for on-the-go when paired with a compact COB light, while the amaran Light Box 60×90 and 30×120 casts a long, narrow light source with greater flexibility for half and full-length portraits. The Ligh Box has a one-snap, flat-pack design for easier transport and storage.
