At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Kensington was showing its new SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 Docking Station.

The SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 Triple 4K Docking Station looks to be a decent solution if you have a new Mac Mini Pro or the latest Macbook Pro that offers support for Thunderbolt 5 technology. It gives your Windows or Mac device up to 80 Gb/s transfer speeds as well as up to 140W of charging power.

On the front of the dock, there is a Thunderbolt 5 port for your host device with 140W of Power Delivery as well as an additional Thunderbolt 5 port with 60W Power Delivery. There is also a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, UHS-II microSD and SD card slots as well as a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

On the back of the dock, there are two Thunderbolt 5 ports that will support USB-C monitors with support for resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz on two monitors or up to 4K at 144 Hz on three monitors.

You also get two additional USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a 2.5 GbE LAN port is available for wired network connections.

Additionally, the SD5000T5 EQ supports Kensington cable locks, in case you need to secure your dock somewhere where it may get stolen.
