At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Sony and the NFL showed a prototype of the new official coach-to-coach communication headset.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell joined Sony Group Corporation President Hiroki Totoki and Sony Electronics President Neal Manowitz on stage to unveil the headsets, including Sony’s noise-canceling and sound-quality technologies powered by Verizon’s 5G network. Sony became an official NFL technology partner in July, and the new headset will debut on the sidelines during the 2025 season.
The headset will feature Sony logo branding, one of the league’s most camera-visible sponsorships. Bose had left the sponsorship in 2022. Sony cameras have also been used to cover NFL games for decades.
